Person without barriers
The goal of the „Person without barriers” competition is to promote people with disabilities whose social activity, commitment and attitude are an example and source of motivation for others to overcome barriers in everyday life.
Over 90 people were selected in the sixteen previous editions, who not only give an example in their local environment, but are also authorities and role models of a worthy life for the general public. The previous finalists are people with various disabilities, who operate in many fields: social, political, cultural and sports. Some of them, while pursuing their own passions also work for others, helping, teaching or infecting their own interests. Five finalists are selected every year and one of them receives the title „Person without barriers„, and the other four receive equivalent distinctions.
From 2011, the competition formula has been extended to include the Audience Award. Voting takes place via the Internet and the winner receives a special statuette. Since 2016, the Internet Personality category also applies.
